When athletes train hard, that energy goes somewhere - and a lot of it ends up in the turf. Sweat, dead skin cells, dust, and debris work their way deep into the fibers over time. You can't see most of it, but it's there. And if it isn't pulled out regularly, it just keeps building up.

That's exactly the kind of surface we tackled here. We ran the turf through a full cleaning process using specialized equipment - a groomer to agitate the fibers and lift embedded debris, followed by a deep extraction machine to pull what's been sitting down at the base. The collector bag tells the whole story. What came out of this turf was a thick layer of compacted dust, hair, and fine debris that had been packed in well below the surface where no regular cleaning could touch it.

Here's why that matters. Gym turf sees a lot of contact. Athletes are on their knees, on their backs, dragging sleds, doing med ball slams - their faces get close to this surface constantly. If the turf isn't being properly maintained, it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and odor. Regular artificial turf cleaning isn't a luxury for training facilities. It's part of keeping your athletes safe and your surface performing the way it should.

There's also the investment side of it. Indoor turf is expensive to install. Letting debris and contaminants grind away at the fibers from the inside shortens the life of the surface significantly. Consistent turf maintenance keeps the pile standing upright, preserves the backing, and protects what you paid for. After we finished, the turf was clean, refreshed, and looking sharp from wall to wall.

If you run a gym or athletic training facility, this is the kind of maintenance your turf needs on a regular schedule - not just when things start to look rough. We work with facilities to set up a routine that keeps the surface in top condition year-round. Reach out through our website to learn more about what we can do for your space.
